What to know before you cut
- The nightstand and TV stand can take a thin back panel in a groove. That groove is narrow, so the preview tells you if you need a smaller bit.
- Add cable holes in the back of the TV stand, one per opening.
- The headboard screws to the wall through a rear rail that stays hidden behind the mattress.
- Set the TV stand height so the screen sits at eye level from the sofa: about 18" to 20" (450 to 500 mm).
- For the planter, use marine plywood or treated wood and exterior glue, and line the inside with drainage sheet.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add a back panel?
Yes. The nightstand and the TV stand have a back panel option: thin board in a groove, or the same board with tenons.
How do I machine the back panel groove?
The file puts grooves and pockets on their own layers so your CAM software can machine them to depth without cutting through. The assembly guide explains it.
Can the TV stand hold a heavy TV?
The preview warns you when an opening is a wide span for the top. With a heavy TV, add an opening or use thicker board.
What width should a headboard be?
The width of the bed plus however much you want to stick out each side. For a 59" (1500 mm) mattress, about 63" (1600 mm).
