Which back panel should I choose?
In a groove is the workshop finish: the back goes on a separate thin board and slides in through the sides. Or use the same board, with tenons.
What height should it be?
It should normally sit at mattress height.
Which software opens the DXF?
Any CAM program that reads DXF, such as VCarve, Aspire, Fusion, Alphacam or Mach-compatible tools. Outside cuts, inside cuts and dog-bones are on separate layers, and the files are generated at real size.
