Is this model really free?

Can I add a back panel?
Yes. Turn on the back panel and the bookcase gets a thin panel you screw on at the back. It stops the unit racking sideways and hides the wall.
Does it need to be fixed to the wall?
Tall, shallow bookcases should always be anchored to the wall. The preview warns you when the proportions call for it.
Which software opens the DXF?
Any CAM program that reads DXF, such as VCarve, Aspire, Fusion, Alphacam or Mach-compatible tools. Outside cuts, inside cuts and dog-bones are on separate layers, and the files are generated at real size.
