      Questions

      How deep should it be?

With 6 3/4" (170 mm) of depth you can fit three or four picture books on each level, one in front of another.

Does it need to be fixed to the wall?

Yes. It is tall and narrow, and a child can pull on it. Screw it to the wall through the holes in the back rail.

      Which software opens the DXF?

Any CAM program that reads DXF, such as VCarve, Aspire, Fusion, Alphacam or Mach-compatible tools. Outside cuts, inside cuts and dog-bones are on separate layers, and the files are generated at real size.
