Questions
Will the top sag under a heavy monitor?
Add the middle legs. They support the top along its length, so the wood does not bend under the weight.
What material and thickness should I use?
Use 1/8" (3 mm) birch plywood, basswood plywood or MDF. Measure the real thickness with calipers and enter it under Material, laser and sheet, because the joints are calculated from it.
Do I need to set the kerf?
Yes, once. Cut a 3/4" (20 mm) square, measure it and enter the difference as your kerf. The joints are compensated, so the parts press-fit. The default suits most CO2 lasers.
