House number
Numbers that can be read from the street. Type your number or letters, pick a typeface and the height, and join the figures with a bar that has holes for wall spacers, so the number floats off the wall and casts a shadow.

Questions
How big should the numbers be?
About 4 in (10 cm) of height for every 100 ft (30 m) of distance, so a number meant to be read from the street is usually 5 in (130 mm) or more.
Can I put it outside?
Yes, with exterior-grade plywood sealed with exterior varnish. MDF swells in the rain and is not suitable outdoors.
Which software opens the files?
The SVG opens in LightBurn, xTool Creative Space, Glowforge, Inkscape and Illustrator. The DXF opens in most CAD and CAM programs. The sizes are real, so nothing needs scaling.
